Did you know that the aroma massage technique is so light that it is suitable even for children?
When I was on a training at my Aromatherapy School in Ontario, I had a chance to practice on my teacher’s granddaughter, a very active 4-year-old girl. This was the first time the girl received a massage, and we were not sure if she would be able to lie quietly on the table for at least 30 minutes. But we did it! About 5 minutes after the start, lying face down, the little one relaxed so much that she fell asleep. And when she turned over on her back, while continuing the massage, she very calmly told me stories about her beloved Bunny (who, by the way, also received massage by her side).
In these challenging times, our children need special support, as they are not always able to cope with the accumulated stress on their own. The aroma massage is based on the acupressure technique using light and rhythmic movements to affect the “meridians” and to release the blocked energy. In combination with essential oils, which are absorbed through the skin of the back, arms, legs and feet while also penetrating the body through the respiratory tract, a unique effect is obtained: complete relaxation of the body, lymphatic drainage, improved blood circulation, elimination of toxins and strengthening of immunity.
My 5 year old daughter absolutely loves aroma massage and I give it to my three children on a regular basis (every 2-3 weeks). If your child is aged 4 years and up, loves scents and is open to new experiences, bring him to aroma massage. A 30 minute session would be perfect to start with.
