Aromatherapy at home

My aromatherapy journey began with a search for a natural alternative to the chemical household cleaning products. While using the usual synthetic ones, I always experienced all kinds of unpleasant reactions, from watery eyes to irritated skin and troubled breathing. Not to mention the fact that the strong chemical odor lasted for a long time and my children were also impacted.

After a thorough research I managed to find what I was looking for – all natural alternative, safe and effective, which cost no more than the products from the store! And with that, I have discovered the whole new aromatic world of natural possibilities for me and my family, which I continue to explore and now professionally share with other people.

So let me share my first ever do-it-yourself all-natural bathroom cleaner recipe.

Ingredients and supplies:

  • 500 ml container / wide jar (you can reutilize any suitable container you have at hand, such as the one from the body scrub, for example);
  • 1 cup of baking soda;
  • 3 tbsp of castile soap;
  • 1 tbsp of white vinegar;
  • 25-30 drops of essential oils;
  • (optional) 1 tbsp of cornstarch.

Mix all ingredients in the container with a clean spoon. Add more castile soap or vinegar for smoother consistency. The cornstarch will make the product more abrasive, so you may decide to leave it out.

The cleaner can be stored for several weeks in the same container with a tightly closed lid out of reach of children and pets. Safe for kids of all ages.

In terms of essential oils selection, you can use any from those you have, but for additional antibacterial and refreshing effect I would recommend eucalyptus (Eucalyptus Globulus), peppermint (Mentha Piperita) and lemon (Citrus Limonum).

The product can be used to clean sinks, baths, toilettes and showers. Try it, you will love it! With all-natural aromatic product like that, your cleaning routine has all chances to turn from a torture into a pleasant ritual.
